Pedro Perez is a 2013 SS/RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Burlington City, NJ who attends Burlington City HS. Medium frame, lean athletic build. Showed well as a legitimate two-way player. Impressive arm strength, threw 90 across the infield, sat 85-88 on the mound. Pitches with 3/4 arm slot, arm works well with good arm speed. Fastball has riding life on it, online delivery, long smooth arm action, quality secondary stuff with good 12-6 curveball with deth and deceptive changeup at 77 mph. High level defensive SS, moves well, good release time, plus arm. Strong hitter from the right side, good swing path, strong hands and wrists, good balance, aggressive approach. Quality hitter from left side as well, but path is longer, equally as smooth and still very solid. Interesting two-way prospect.

Very good infield actions, plays much faster than 60 time, quick feet, moves well through the ball, good arm strength with very good carry, athletic balance. Switch-hitter, spread stance both sides, line drive swing with good balance left handed, longer swing path with uppercut plane and more lift right handed, has some bat speed from both sides. Also pitched, deceptive back turn delivery, high 3/4's slot, drops down at times, uses lower half well. Mid 80's fastball to 87 mph, slider shows some sharpness when down. Solid all around player with some skills.

Switch-hitter, better bat speed from the right side, sound fundamental swing, good flow to contact, quick hands, shows some gap power right handed, same solid approach left handed just less bat speed. Nice infield actions, quick feet, soft hands, compact clean release, makes all the plays, plays faster than his 60 time. Also pitched, consistent 84 mph fastball, easy low effort delivery and arm action, slider shows late bite and life. Two-way potential. Named to the Top Prospect team.
