Matthew Zoltak is a 2006 LHP from Plymouth Whitemarsh HS in Philadelphia, PA, with a 5'11", 175 lb. frame. He's a good overall athlete who can play the outfield and swing the bat with some pop in addition to pitching. Zoltak has a fast paced windup and a tight, quick arm action. His fastball topped out at 89 mph and he shows the ability to manage the velocity, command and movement on his fastball depending on what he wants to do with the pitch. He gets good running action away from right handers when he throws his 2-seamer. Zoltak's best pitch is his mid-70's slurve. It has very good, tight spin and bite and the velocity up to 78 mph has hitters guessing. Like his fastball, Zoltak can pitch in and out with his curveball and use it effectively early in the count. He also throws a pretty good upper 70's change up. Zoltak is a polished pitcher with a very sound idea of how to pitch and plenty of stuff to get hitters out. We also like his take charge attitude on the mound. He's committed to Clemson.

Matthew Zoltak is a 2006 left handed pitcher from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Matthew has a clean and easy delivery with good arm speed. He has a tight ear slot delivery with a slight cross body stride. Matthew has a good down and through finish and his arm works well with a very good arm arch on the backside. He showed a fastball that touched 84 mph, a 67 mph curveball, and a 75 mph slider. Matthew's fastball has good sinking action, and he kept it low in the strike zone. His slider was a much better pitch than his curveball and has a sharp, deep break. Matthew's change up was good for his age as well. He has projectable velocity and showed command on both sides of the plate. Matthew is also listed as an OF/1B, and he showed 7.52 sixty speed and had a 4.71 home to first base time. He's a left handed hitter with a medium stance and no load approach. Zoltak has good bat speed, hand strength, and ok balance in his swing. He is very strong on balls on the inside half of plate. Matthew is a very good student.

Matthew is an "06" LHP/1B from PA. At 5'10/175 he has a good baseball frame with wide shoulders and long limbs. He has a fast twitch type body. He shows college level outfield actions with a good accurate arm. He hits out of well balanced approach and creates good bat speed. He shows power potential! On the mound he threw around 80 mph with good life, but we're sure he has thrown better. He has sound mechanics and nice loose arm action. He showed a tight spinning breaking ball around 70 mph that looked very promising. He also showed an advanced changeup with good movement and deception. Matthew is a good student and has a very bright baseball future.
