Austin Sexton is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Madison, AL who attends Sparkman HS. Slender young build, very projectable physically. Back turn rotational delivery, extended 3/4's arm slot, loose quick arm coming through, some effort on release. Consistent upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, mostly straight but spots it very well. Outstanding change up, good arm speed and life, lots of feel, very confident in change up, likes starting off hitters with it. Tends to drop release point on curveball, gets under it, soft spin, potential to develop slider at the next level. Very projectable pitcher, learning to spin the ball key to his development. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi State.

Austin Sexton is a 2013 RHP/3B/1B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Madison, AL who attends Sparkman HS. Lean high waisted middle infielder's type build, good looseness. Standard delivery, full loose arm circle, extended 3/4's release, lands a bit closed, arm is loose and quick, repeats delivery well. Fastball to 88 mph, occasional arm side running life. Curveball gets good depth and 11/5 shape, confidence in curveball and commands it well. Some developing feel for a change up. Mixes it up and throw strikes, has an idea. 6.98 runner, has some infield tools, good athleticism and arm strength, moves well, can quicken infield release. Big leg raise trigger at the plate, shows some bat speed, pull line drive type contact. Should continue to improve in all areas. Good student.
