Connor Wentz is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Dunnellon, FL who attends Dunnellon HS. Broad shouldered large frame, very good present strength. Good pace to delivery, tends to pitch hunched over and loose height and angle, mid 3/4's slot and sometimes lower, high arm circle with some wrap. Fastball to 85 mph, straight on glove side, can sink ball away from left handed hitters well. Slider is good pitch with some bite and good depth, effective vs. right hand hitters. Slow curveball for a different look. Right handed hitter, rotational swing with some strength and lift, showed good power potential with bat. Very good student.
