Sheehan is a "05" RHP who showed potential on the hill and possibly the same type of potential with the bat. He threw 2 pitches that include his fastball and his curve. The fastball was clocked at 74-76 mph and from the stretch he did not lose any velocity. His curve was around 65 mph pitch, it has more potential if he threw it harder and sped up his arm slightly. At the plate, Sheehan showed some powerful hits into the left field gap and was watched closely for the bat. The ball jumped off his wood bat at the UCS. He might create college interest as a 1Bman as well as a pitcher. Matthew displays a love of the game along with his talent.
