Jose Cardona is a 2011 RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Canoga Park, CA who attends El Camino HS. Solid square shouldered build, good strength. Low 3/4's release point with long extended arm action, sometimes drops down to sidearm, arm is loose and whippy out front. Upper 80's fastball, touches 90 mph with occ hard late diving action into RHH'ers. Big sweeping slurve breaking ball with good spin, keeps all pitches low, ground ball/sinker ball pitcher, should mow down RHH'ers. Didn't see change up. Verbal Commitment to Cal State Fullerton.
