Tom Lyon is a 2012 OF/P with a 5'6'', 160 lb. frame from Steamboat Springs, CO who attends Steamboat Springs HS. Smaller build, good strength for age. No stride approach hitting, small weight shift, upper cut swing plane, aggressive swing, hands pretty short to ball, hitting tools to improve with rhythm/swing plane adjustments. Good raw arm strength in the outfield, overhand release, accurate throws. Also pitched, mid 70's fastball, topped at 77 mph, cross body balanced delivery, good feel for change up, some 12/6 downer action on curveball. Very good student.
