Matt Rogers is an athletic lean 5'11/175 MIF from Paoli, PA. He runs very well with a 6.75 in the 60. He topped out at 80 mph across the infield. He showed good infield actions with very soft sure hands, good feet and a quick release. He's an aggressive player in the field and at the plate. He creates good bat speed with a controlled swing and the ball explodes off his bat. He showed serious gap power and potential HR power. He's a good baserunner and a very good all around player. He plays hard and can play at the highest levels of college baseball. Matt is an excellent student. He was invited and attended the PG AFLAC Showcase in Baltimore. Matt is an excellent student.

Matt Rogers is a 5'11", 175 lb. middle infielder/outfielder from Paoli, Pennsylvania, with eye popping 6.78 sixty speed on a very soft track. In the infield he showed solid arm strength with 81 mph throws. Matt has very quick transfers and a smooth, quick release. Rogers has true shortstop actions with plus footwork. He showed plus range to each side, and enough arm to throw runners out from the hole. Rogers has very good hands that he really shows when turning double plays. He is a right handed hitter with an open to closed approach. He shows very good bat speed and inside quickness from a no load approach with very good hand strength. The ball jumps off his bat, and he has room to add more lower half leverage help that could develop into big time power. Rogers shows very strong hands and a good attacking action at the plate. College coaches should be all over him, and pro scouts will like seeing him play. Matt is an excellent student.

Matt Rogers -- Rogers is a junior shortstop from Pennsylvania who is a fun player to watch on the field. He is very active and wide ranging on defense and can really pick it and get rid of it quickly. Rogers doesn’t have a cannon for an arm but his release and accuracy are Big League average right now. He can definitely play top notch defense at the college level at either short or second. Rogers is a contact hitter with a simple, short swing. He showed the ability to wait back well on breaking pitches but a little hand hitch will put him behind some fastballs. Rogers speed makes him a big threat on the bases and he shows above average instincts in all parts of his game. He's a plus MLB runner who can do a lot of things on a baseball field. Matt is a top level student
