2004 Underclass National Showcase
Mark Joseph -- Joseph is a 6-1, 175 lb right hander from Connecticut with an athletic, projectable build. He has very good pitching mechanics with good balance and direction to the plate. Joseph’s fastball topped out at 80 mph and he maintained his velocity well. His curveball had a slurve type break at 70-71 mph. Joseph looks like a young pitcher who could benefit from more strength but he has solid fundamentals and an arm that works very well. At the plate he did a nice job making solid contact in the games and had 3 hits off live pitching. He appears athletic and his arm works nice and easy with very good mechanics. Keep an eye on this junior.
