Leo Alvarez is a 2005 third baseman/catcher from Miami Florida with a thick muscular build at 5 ft. 10 195 pounds. He has a long swing with good flow through the ball and very good extension. He aggressively attacks the ball with quick hands and very good bat speed. The ball jumps off his bat and he showed good power to the pull side. He has a solid glove with slightly stiff hands. He has a strong arm across the infield at 83 mph. Behind the plate, he popped a 1.90 with a strong arm at 79 mph. He is a solid player that will hit very well at the next level with good power potential.
