Lee Kiehl is a 2007 RHP/3B/OF that attends Monacan HS and resides in Richmond, VA with a 6'0", 180 lb. frame. Lee has a well-developed athletic build. On the mound Lee throws with a long loose arm action with some nice cut action on his fastball. His arm is live and he shows off a nice 10 to 4 curveball. Lee has a lot of mechanical work to do as he gets little out of his lower half and struggled with his command. When he polishes off his delivery he should see all aspects of his game improve. At the plate Lee shows quick wrists with good pull contact. He is very jerky at the plate and will need to really work on his overall approach at the plate. In the field Lee is good to the ball with nice actions, but his arm strength will probably limit him to the right side of the field for now. Lee is a player that could attract attention from some smaller colleges.

Lee Kiehl is a 2007 RHP from Richmond, Virginia, with an athletic and strong 6'0", 170 lb. frame. Lee ran a 5.58 forty, and has a very good frame that should continue to add strength and quickness to his body. He has a solid delivery and arm speed. Mechanically he throws from an extended 3/4 arm slot, and does have some body travel in his motion. He has a low glove on the front side, and a good down and through finish. His fastball topped out at 76 mph, while he mixed in a 62 mph curveball and a 61 mph change up. Lee has good off speed and breaking pitches. Both his change up and curveball have the chance to be very good college level pitches. His curveball has nice spin and good tilt, and with more velocity and arm speed on his curveball, it should really bite. His change up shows good life, but he does slow his arm slightly which tips the pitch to the hitters. With a pretty smooth delivery and good off speed stuff, Lee can add some velocity and be a very good next level type pitcher. There are no hitches in his delivery and we feel he will add velocity as he gets stronger. In the infield he shows solid footwork and arm strength at 70 mph. Lee tends to field the ball deep in his stance and shows 3B type actions. Lee does make very accurate throws, and can turn a double play from 3B. Lee is a right handed hitter with a slight hand load and easy trigger to the ball. Lee crowds the plate and really has a hard time getting extension to the ball. He has good balance, and we feel he would really hit with consistency if he would move off the plate. Lee is a projectable young player.
