Green is a big RHP who can also hit. In fact, he shows a quick bat and power potential at the plate. On the mound Green is a force. He threw 89 in Lincoln, but we've seen him in the low 90s before. We would like to see him throw the breaking ball with more velocity, but it's shows lots of promise. His arm works well for a big guy and his changeup has a chance to be a plus pitch. Lauren has a chance to make a lot of noise before next years draft. We think he would be best advised to get with a personal trainer and get in the best shape possible. That might make him even more appealing to MLB scouts.

Green is a Major League sized Right-Hander with a Major League arm. At 6 foot 3 and 235 pounds he is a scary sight for the 16 year old batter. His powerful legs and strong delivery get his motion moving toward home plate in a good straight line. He comes from a 3/4 arm slot and his arm works good. His fastball was clocked between 85 and 88 mph with some life on his 2-seam fastball. He showed a curve and slider and there was no question that the slider is his pitch. The curve was lacking a bite and arm speed while the slider was sharper, in the zone and at 75 mph. He struck out 5 batters in 4 innings and surrendered just 2 hits. Green can also swing the bat a little bit and he sent the ball a long way when he got a hold of it. He is a pitching prospect that we have seen touch 90 before and expect that he will draw attention to himself over the next year.
