Kris Garcia is a 2005, 5'9" right handed hitting third baseman from Miami with a strong and well developed lower half. He has some good one step quickness at third base with soft hands and good balance and his throws across the diamond have good online carry to them. At the plate, Garcia has hand strength and quickness to his swing. He has an inside out approach and most of his contact is to the center or right side of the field. Garcia has the strength and raw bat speed to develop much more power with a different approach and probably does with metal in his hands. He can really play and will definitely play at the next level.

Kris Garcia -- Garcia is a physically mature, very strong junior third baseman. He has broad shoulders and good strength in his hips and thighs. Garcia’s best tool is his bat. He has a nice balanced swing with a middle of the field approach and creates very good bat speed. Garcia would probably benefit from trying to turn on the ball more to take advantage of his strength. He has nice hands and a very good feel for the game. Garcia threw 78 mph across the infield with a long, over the top arm action.

Kris is an iinfielder with good actions and soft hands. He can make the plays. He also showed a 79 mph arm across the infield with some carry. He has a good approach at the plate with a line drive type swing. He does have a tendency to come around the ball, but that's an easy correction to make. He plays hard and is still a young 05 who should continue to develop. He should work hard at keeping his body in the best shape and flexable.

Lacks arm strength and running speed, but must remember he's only an "05". Best tool is his bat. Aggressive hitter who can center on the ball.

Garcia is a sure-handed second baseman with solid fielding actions. He showed the ability to play both offensively and defensively with bigger and older players. He has enough arm strength to get the job done throwing 75 mph across the infield. At the plate he showed a short swing for his size that looked like a good adjustment to using wood. We saw him take an 89 mph fastball to the opposite field.
