Kofi Osei-Aning is a 5-10, 160 lb switching hitting senior outfielder from Canada who has improved his strength significantly in the last year. He's a quick twitch athlete who has very good first step quickness and good speed in the 60 at 6.95. He shows aggressiveness on the bases and is looking to steal and use his speed when he has the opportunity. Osei-Aning has quick hands from both sides of the plate. He's looking to pull the ball and will hit more pulled foul balls than most any hitter you will see, especially from the left side. If he could learn to stay back and trust his quick hands and use all fields, he could really blossom as a high average hitter in a hurry. Osei-Aning's hands are strong in addition to quick and the ball jumps off his bat pretty well. Defensively, Osei-Aning is still raw in his routes and throwing mechanics but his speed enables him to run down lots of balls. Good follow, especially if he can make some hitting adjustments.

Kofi Osei-Aning is a 2006 outfielder from Canada with good quickness and overall athletic actions. At 5'8", 150 lbs. with a young body, the wood bat is a bit heavy for him, but Osei-Aning did a good job competing and making contact as a switch hitter. Right handed, Osei-Aning has a good set up with good weight shift and a nice swing path. Left handed, Osei-Aning is a little more closed with a shorter, quicker swing. Overall, he looked more comfortable left handed. His best tool is his speed. He’s a 7.09/4.46 runner with good acceleration and nice actions in the outfield. He should continue to improve as he adds strength and experience. He's a player to watch closely.
