Kevin Youst is a 2008 right handed pitcher from Plantation, FL with a very athletic, projectable body at 6-2 170 lbs. He has a loose free arm action with very good mechanics. He throws a heavy fastball at 85 mph with good glove-side movement. His curveball was at 68 mph with the potential to be a good out pitch in the future. His change-up was his best pitch at 75 mph with hard sink and good deception. He is a young player with a very projectable body and he has the potential to be a very high level prospect for 2008. He has good mound presence with pitchability now and will only get better as he matures. Kevin is a very good student.
