Daniel Garner is a 2012 C/RHP with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Madison, AL who attends Sparkman HS. Solid athletic build, very good present strength. Sound catching actions, good lower half life, very good raw arm strength, max effort release affects accuracy, will learn to dial it back to throw out runners. Tall, open stance at the plate, strides in, swings hard, good bat speed, shows gap to gap power, stays inside the ball and can drive it, as with throwing can tone down the effort to create more consistency. Has the strength and raw tools to keep developing. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi State.
