Kevin Bishop is a 2006 OF from Lassiter High School in Marietta, Georgia, with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame. He has a lean and athletic body with present strength. Bishop has a strong arm (86 mph) from the outfield with good online carry on his throws. He shows good defensive actions, especially with his lower half that will make him a good defender at the next level. At the plate the right handed hitter has an advanced approach and uses an open stance that he closes off well. Bishop has a quick bat and he can really turn on the ball showing present raw power that is projectable. He stays back on the ball well and battles during each at bat. He has a line drive swing plane and uses the entire field. Bishop was one of the best hitters at the event and will excel at the next level. He is also an outstanding student.

Bishop is a 6-1 right handed hitting outfielder from Georgia with very good right field tools. He is strong now and has the chance to really get strong in the future with continued hard work. Bishop threw 85 mph from the outfield in drills with very good carry on the ball. He ran the 60 in 7.57. Bishop’s hitting ability was very impressive. He hits from a balanced stance with a good load and limited stride. He has very, very quick hands to the ball which he showed repeatedly in games. Bishop adjusted to pitches in different locations and drove the ball hard. He has some lift in his swing now and has the bat speed and strength to reach the fences with some consistency. It’s hard to imagine him not being a run producer at the next level with his current hitting skills and strength. Bishop’s arm strength didn’t quite translate to the mound, but he did top out at 81 mph while striking out 2 hitters in a scoreless inning of relief. Bishop is also an excellent student off the field.
