Keith Hill is a lean 6'1/170 catcher/outfielder from Abbeville, SC. He features a very strong arm that grades out MLB average. He has good quick feet and quick hands that give him excellent pop times. He's a very good defensive catching prospect. He showed hitting ability, but didn't do much with the pitching in Tropicana. His swing needs to shorten up though he does create bat speed. He is a contact all fields type hitter. He projects nicely and should play at the highest levels of college baseball. Keith is a very good student.

Hill showed one of the hardest hitting bats in the showcase and emerged as one of the top 2 catchers in the entire showcase. He was selected to the Top Prospect game. His arm showed well with a 1.99 pop time at 76 mph and there is more in him. He runs well for a catcher and understands the position as well as anyone we saw throughout the weekend. He played harder than any player and that coupled with his pure ability he stuck out to us. His bat is outstanding with Major League bat-speed and fringe MLB power. He hit live pitching around the park, ran the bases well, made good decisions and has excellent tools. He is the real deal, top follow for the 2005 class !
