2004 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Justin is a 2005 grad from Huntington Beach High School in Huntington Beach, California. At 6'1/170 he has a lean wiry frame and plenty of room to add more strength. Defensively in the infield, Justin has an over hand release, good carry and velocity to his throws and some agility in his lower half. He's a sure handed infielder who will make the routine play very easily. Justin could stay in the middle infield or end up at third base depending on which part of his game improves the fastest, his speed or his strength. He ran a 7.75 60yrd dash with good long strides with a 4.92 down the line to first. Justin showed very good instincts for the game, making good decisions and running the bases well. He is also an excellent student who should be very attractive to the top academic programs.
