Justin Hunt is a 2008 C/P/1B/3B with a 5'11'', 215 lb. frame from Muskego, WI, who attends Pius Xl HS. He has a strong body with some extra weight around his hips and thighs. Hunt showed very good arm strength both from behind the plate and from first base during drills. His footwork and balance around first base was good. Hunt's throws were accurate and on line and he's going to throw some runner's out. His best pop time in drills was 2.11. Offensively, Hunt hits from a very open stance and closes during his swing. He has an aggressive swing and generates good bat speed and attacks the ball with some pop in his bat. Hunt made very solid contact during the games, mostly to the pull side, and is a good looking young hitter. Hunt also took a turn on the mound. He has a complicated back to the plate delivery and a high 3/4's to overhand release point. His fastball topped out at 81 mph and he showed flashes of downer action on a 68 mph curveball. Hunt has some good tools that could continue to improve with better conditioning. He is also a good student.

Justin Hunt is a 2008 catcher/right handed pitcher/third baseman from Muskego, WI, with a 5'10", 200 lb. frame. Hunt has good arm strength for his age with solid pop times that should improve with quicker release times. He has good footwork behind the plate blocking balls to both sides. He hits with a no load approach and high hand set, and has a line drive swing plane with good bat speed. During batting practice Hunt wasn't finishing his swing or getting any extension. That didn't carry over to the games however. Hunt showed the ability to drive the ball with several hard hits from gap to gap. He centers the ball well, and has present raw power. Hunt pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with fair arm action and good arm speed. He has a slight hip turn in his delivery with a higher leg kick. Hunt does a good job with his lower half, and finishes his pitches well. His fastball topped out at 76 mph with some life. Hunt is a future two way prospect. He is also a good student.

Justin Hunt is a 2008 C/3B from Muskego, Wisconsin, with a 5'8", 180 pound frame. He hits from a balanced stance with no load, and has a level swing with above average bat speed for his age. He has good knowledge of the strike zone, and takes outside pitches to the opposite field with good power. He has a strong arm and will produce quick pop times in the future. He blocks balls well, and has a good feel for the position. Justin is a young looking kid that will add strength and speed to his game. Hunt is definitely a future prospect at the catchers position.

Justin is a 5-7, 180 8th grade RHP/C with a stocky build. Justin obviously has a lot of room to grow. Nobody knew what to expect from our “rookie” at this showcase. He was matched up with some of the best players in the area and showed quite well. He even got top 2004 prospect Tyler Beranek to fly out. Justin shows promise with the bat and on the mound and as he matures and gets stronger he may become a heck of a player. Justin challenged some of the best hitters at the event with his solid low 70’s fastball and developing curve. Behind the plate he showed average actions and threw well to 2nd base with good accuracy. Justin will develop as he matures.
