Hidalgo is a 6-0 right handed pitcher from south Florida with a mature physical build. He threw three effective innings at the showcase. Hidalgo throws from a straight over the top arm action that forces him to clear his front side before he can get his arm through. His fastball was mostly 75-77 mph and he threw a 64-66 mph curveball that had some downer break to it because of his release point. He throws strikes. Hidalgo is an excellent student.
