Jordan Paulus is a 2006 middle infielder from Rudd, Iowa, with a lean, athletic body at 5'8", 150 pounds. He showed great hustle and athleticism during the entire event, running a 7.13 in the 60, and 4.55 home to first. He has well above excellent footwork and range, and has a smooth transfer in the infield. His arm plays and will get stronger. At the plate he hits from a balanced stance, and he has a tight, compact swing with a lot of bat speed. He turned on inside pitches with quick hands to the ball, and ripped shots to the pull side. He is a smart base runner, and has a good all around feel for how the game is played. With gains in strength and size, Jordan will be a high level college prospect who needs to be followed. He is also an excellent student.
