Jordan Mills is a 2005, 5'9" switch hitting middle infielder from Frostproof, FL, with good body life and good strength for his size. His times in the 60 were average, but he’s more of a quickness type of athlete than a top speed guy. We had Mills at 4.25 to first base from the left side and 4.50 on a turn and he should be a base stealing threat at the next level. Mills hits out of an open stance with a high elbow and takes a full, aggressive cut from both sides of the plate. We thought he might have a bit better bat speed from the right side. Mills seems comfortable at both shortstop and second base on defense. He has quick hands defensively and is especially good at maintaining his balance when charging the ball. Good instincts and feel for the game. Jordan is a top student.

Jordan Mills -- Mills is a 5-9, 145 lb. junior middle infielder who showed us some good baseball tools and skills. He runs exceptionally well and has a good arm. He’s a very polished defensive player with quick hands and good balance. The numbers say that he profiles at second base but he made some nice plays at shortstop at the Showcase and he looks like the gamer type who can play that position at the next level. Mills is a switch-hitter who has a fundamentally sound swing from both sides of the plate. He’s more aggressive from the right side and generates a bit better bat speed, but is still smooth and on plane from the left side. For Mills it really boils down to getting a bit stronger because his skills play very well. He’s an outstanding student off the field as well. He should end up at a high level college.
