Phillips is an "08" 8th grader 1B/RHP from Diana, TX. He's very young with a 5'11/195 body. It's too early to project how he will develop "tools wise". His skill level is far behind the older "05s and "06s. Then again he has 5 years before he's a senior in high school. He showed promise on the mound throwing low 70s out of a 3/4 slot and solid mechanics. He showed a good feel for spinning the ball, too. It's too early to give Andrew a fair grade. He is a good student.
