John Dischert is a very big, strong 6'5/220 LHP/1B from Wilmington, DE. At this time he has to be considered a 2-way guy. He throws mid to upper 80s and can really pitch. That alone makes him a DI LHP pitching prospect. Problem is some scouts like his bat even more. Dischert can really hit and he has awsome power potential from the left side. He's athletic and plays a very good first base as well. Time will sort all of this out, but he is very good both ways. He is a good student. John was selected and attended the PG Showcase at the AFLAC Classic in Baltimore.
