John Bucci is a 2006 left handed pitcher/outfielder from Lansdale, Pennsylvania, with a medium build at 6'1", 160 pounds. He pitches from an over the top arm slot with sound mechanics and a slow, balanced delivery. He is a drop and drive type pitcher with a short arm action and a linear finish. His fastball showed slight arm side run at 71 mph. His 61 mph curveball showed decent depth and deception with a tight 1-7 rotation. His change-up showed good sinking action at 62 mph. He is smart on the hill and has a good idea of how to pitch. He hits from a balanced stance with a small stride and slight weight shift into contact. He has a rotational type swing with good bat speed and a high two handed finish. He has a contact approach and uses the whole field. John has room to grow and with added strength he will be a solid left handed pitcher.
