John Amore is a 2006 shortstop/right handed pitcher from Warwick, Rhode Island, with a lean and athletic 6'0"/160 pound frame. Amore is a right handed hitter that hits from an open stance with high hands. He makes consistent solid contact at the plate. He has good arm strength across the infield with an accurate arm at 82 mph and showed good body control. Amore is also a right handed pitcher that throws from a 3/4 arm slot with clean arm action and very good arm speed. He has late life on his 85 mph fastball with arm side fade and also throws a tight 11-5 breaking curveball. Amore is a good student.

John Amore is a 2006 shortstop/pitcher from Warwick, RI. Amore has a solid 5'11", 150 pound frame, and was named to the Underclass Top Prospect Team. Amore is a solid two-way player with good athleticism. At the plate, he hits with a slightly open stance, with fast, aggressive hands. He does a good job of staying inside the ball with gap to gap power. As a shortstop, Amore showed tremendous range with quick feet and a strong throwing arm. On the mound, he was consistently 85-86 mph, and had good arm side run on his fastball. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot with solid, balanced mechanics, and has good command of the strike zone. His curveball has tight 11-5 break at 70 mph, and also throws a changeup with good sink at 71 mph. Amore is very athletic on the mound as well, with good feet and is a player to watch. John is a good student.
