2004 Underclass National Showcase
Joe Leal -- Leal is not big but he's a tough and hustling junior outfielder from Texas. In addition to a great attitude, Lean showed us a good ability to handle the bat. He has good extension to his swing and has a strong line drive stroke. Leal keeps his hands under control and inside the ball and had some hard line drives in the games and made good batting practice contact as well. Leal’s defensive tools were pretty good, too. He runs well and showed very nice arm strength from the outfield. He's going to be a good player and hitter at the next level. Joe is a good student.
