Darnell Duckett is a 2009 OF with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame from Mississauga, ON who attends St Joseph's SS. He has a medium frame and good compact strength. Duckett is a very good runner, with a 6.78 time for the 60 and quick, live actions on the field. Duckett is a front foot hitter who gets to his front side early and uses his quick hands to drive through the ball. He's sometimes late with his trigger but when he gets the bat started the ball comes off his bat pretty quickly and he shows some late bat speed. Duckett will hit the ball to all fields depending on where it's pitched. Duckett has good range in the outfield but needs work on his throwing fundamentals to further develop his defensive skills. Duckett is a young player with the tools and athleticism to keep improving.
