Jason Greene is a 6'0", 190 lb. third baseman/pitcher from Midlothian, Virginia, with good present strength. In the field he showed good arm strength with 80 mph velocity and good accuracy. Jason has third base type tools with above average range and above average footwork. He has a very good back hand glove action that should play well at 3B as well. Jason is a right handed hitter with no stride, but a good hand load. He has a simple line drive swing plane with good bat speed and the ability to hit to all fields. On the mound Jason showed an 80 mph fastball, 66 mph curveball, and a 70 mph change up with raw mechanics. He runs well and looks athletic. Jason is a very good student.

Greene is a strong-bodied third baseman that runs well enough to play 3B. He showed projectable arm strength for the position. In fact, he threw easily with an arm that is not yet full strength from an injury. His frame is good and his body is loose. He might even end up pitching at a high level. With the bat he showed some good hitting traits that include bat-speed and consistent hard-hitting centering ability with wood. A couple of his hits were smoked a good distance in a hurry. He has lots of potential when he gets healthy and his bat got him selected to the Top Prospect game. He can hit! Jason is a very good student.
