Jarrod Toner is a 2006 RHP/OF with a 5'6'', 178 lb. frame from Marietta GA, who attends Walton HS. He throws from a side arm release point and relies on deception to get hitters out. Toner's fastball tops out at 70 mph with good sinking action that causes hitters to hit lots of ground balls. He also throws a 55 mph change up off his already soft fastball to further throw off hitter's timing, with the same sidearm release point and movement. Toner mixes in a 55 mph sweeping curveball to complete his off speed collection. Toner understands his pitching style and throws lots of strikes and tries to maintain the good movement. He's a very good student off the field.

Toner is a 5-6, 178 lb senior pitcher from Georgia with very strong, muscular thighs and solid strength in his upper body. He has clean pitching mechanics with a smooth, short arm action and a low ¾ to side arm release point. Toner did a good job of working the corners with his pitches and showed good pitching knowledge. His fastball was 68-70 mph and topped out at 72. His 53-56 mph curveball was very effective against right handed hitters and he also threw a 55 mph change up.
