Adam Velocci is a 2008 1B/3B with a 6'3'', 200 lb. frame from Markham, ON who attends Brother Andre SS. He has a big athletic frame and good present strength. Velocci has a power approach at the plate and it works well for him. He has a long, extended swing that's well balanced and has good bat speed. He's quiet to start his swing and commits early to hit the ball out front and lift it. The ball jumps off Velocci's bat well and he hit well in games and hit some bombs in batting practice. He'll be a mistake hitter against better pitching but seems confident and comfortable in his approach. Velocci handles himself well round the first base bag and had soft hands and good arm strength for the position.
