James Coleman is a 2007 OF/RHP from Chicago, IL, with a slender athletic frame at 6-2, 160 lbs. He has a very athletic build and he ran an excellent 6.75 in the 60. He is a smart aggressive base runner with game changing speed. He has a strong arm with good accuracy. He has quick hands and he generates good bat speed. He makes solid contact and he flashes gap power. He also pitches with a FB at 82 mph, and a nice change at 75 mph. He is a live-bodied athlete with lots of raw ability. He is a highest-level prospect for 2007.

James Coleman is a 2007 OF/RHP from Chicago, IL, with a tall, lanky, athletic build at 6'2", 160 pounds. He was the fastest player at the showcase by far with a 6.58 in the 60, and 4.16 home to first. He ran a 2nd 60 at 6.69 and it was not a fast track. He is very smooth with long strides, and shows excellent range in the outfield and made a great diving catch. He has a good arm, (75mph)and he has plenty of room to get stronger as he matures. He hits from an upright stance, with a level swing, and he hits hard line drives to all fields with good power. He has good swing mechanics and made solid contact. James has unbelievable speed and will develop into a top prospect and probably a draftable player in 2007.
