Kyle Johnston is a 2009 OF with a 5'10'', 168 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends North Cobb HS. He has a medium build with developing strength. Johnston hits out of a crouched stance with low and tight hands and tends to open early and rotate his upper body to get the bat head through. He keeps his swing pretty short and has a contact type approach. He hit the ball to all fields with a line drive type swing plane and will benefit from more strength. Johnston had good outfield actions and was aggressive and quick to the ball. He got rid of it quickly and showed good arm strength with a long and smooth arm action. His arm is his best tool right now. Johnston was a hustling, aggressive type of player who looks like he works at the game.
