Nick Greene is a 2008 3B/P with a 6'0'', 205 lb. frame from Pomona, CA who attends Diamond Ranch HS. He has a strong physical build. Greene is a smart ballplayer with good ability all over the diamond. Offensively he is a middle of the line-up type hitter who consistently puts the barrel on the ball. He is an aggressive hitter with a pull approach and some present day power. Though he does have that pull approach, Greene does a nice job of keeping his hands back. He should be able to handle velocity quite well and still hit for power. Defensively he showed nice hands and solid play at 3rd base. Greene was also good on the mound. He is big and strong but has a loose arm that works from a high 3/4 slot. His 80-83 mph fastball has some heavy actoin and good down angle. His 70 mph curveball had some rolling depth. All of Greene's pitches had movement. At the college level he could do some relief pitching.
