Brock Herrington is a 2010 OF with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame from Ft Walton Beach, FL who attends Ft Walton Beach HS. He has a medium build and and developing strength. Herrington ran the 60 in 7.31. He had deliberate actions in the outfield and will need to speed up his release and lengthen his arm action in the future. The best part of Herrington's game was his offense. He hits from a spread stance with a rotational swing and is looking to hit with power. He's a patient hitter who is looking for a pitch to drive. The ball comes off his bat hard on contact and he lifted a few balls well to the pull side. Pitches away could give him trouble with his current approach but it looks like he knows what to do with pitches in his zone. Herrington also took a turn on the mound and threw 74 mph with a 66 mph change up. He is a good student.
