Zach Voight is a 2008 MIF with a 5'11'', 155 lb. frame from Denton, TX who attends Denton Ryan. Zach has an athletic frame with room to grow. He has some present upper body strength. He is a versatile player in the field and has good footwork and range on the infield. He needs to work on coming through the ball more consistently. He is a much stronger player when he does so. He hits from a short open stance and has an aggressive swing, especially early in the count. He uses the whole field, and has good bat speed He has good pop in his bat for a player his size, and is also a strong contact hitter. He has a slight reverse stride, and loads well with a line drive swing path. Voight showed good instincts, and some aggressiveness on the bases in games. He hustles out of the box regardless of the result of the play. He is also an excellent student.
