Hart Mizell is a 2009 RHP/3B with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame from McRae, GA who attends Telfair County HS. He has a solid athletic build with developing strength. Mizell has a fast paced delivery that opens up early and a quick and short two-piece arm action. The ball comes out of his hand quickly and he has some deception to his approach. Mizell's best velocity came when he was warming up, frequently touching 83 mph, and he pitched down in the zone with life in the lower 80's against hitters. Mizell's best pitch was a 75 mph slider that was sharp and deep at times. He also mixed in a 68 mph curveball and 75 mph change up as another look for hitters. Mizell has a good idea how to pitch and can make hitters swing and miss. Mizell looked good defensively at third base, where he showed his arm strength and good athletic balance. He has some strength in his bat and can continue to improve with some balance and swing adjustments. He is an excellent student.
