Daniel Cardwell is a 2010 LHP/OF with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Wesleyan HS. He has a lean athletic build and minimal present strength. Cardwell throws from a slow paced deliberate delivery with a long two-piece arm action and a low 3/4's release point. He has some effort on release that could give some deception to his pitches. Cardwell was around the plate with a mid 70's fastball that topped out at 77 mph and had good arm side running action. His breaking ball was a rolling mid 60's slurve that can be tightened up. He also threw a couple of change ups. Cardwell has an idea how to pitch and is still very young and should improve. Cardwell plays outfield when not pitching and is a 7.33 runner. He has a good set up at the plate and is an opposite field hitter.
