Raul Rodriguez is a 2008 3B/P with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame from Simi Valley, CA who attends Royal. Raul has a tall, athletic build that shows room for growth. His infield actions were good and his hands were soft and worked well. He showed an excellent infield arm that was clocked at 87 in the workout and carried well across the diamond. He has strength in his swing, bat speed, with a toe tap trigger. He impressed the most on the mound where he had a clean arm action with a live arm. His FB was 87-89 and jumped at the hitters. Everything was very smooth and effortless. His breaking ball showed tight spin and he had very good command of his change. He is very projectable on the mound. He made the top prospect list and his arm strength should be intriguing quite a few colleges.
