Joshua Bartz is a 2009 C/OF/2B with a 5'8'', 165 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Pflugerville Connally. Bartz has a slender athletic frame with room to go on his frame. Bartz has quick hands and a smooth transfer behind the plate, and his footwork is solid. He hits from a wide base and has a nice fluid approach to hitting. He stays inside the ball well and makes solid contact on the center of his barrel. His swing plane stays level and produces line drives to all fields. As he continues to develop strength, he has some mid level power potential.
