John Rezendes is a 2009 C/1B with a 5'10'', 165 lb. frame from Meridian, Idaho, who attends Bishop Kelly High School. He is a young player with a lean and athletic frame. Defensively he has solid quickness behind the plate. He sets up well and his feet work. His quickness helps him surround balls in the dirt. He threw 69 mph during the workout with a best pop time 0f 2.19. At the plate he is a switch hitter who hits from a wide base. Rezendes has a compact swing that stays short to the ball. He has good plate discipline and doesn't swing at pitches out of the zone. He dives in, and puts the bat on the ball putting it in play. Rezendes hustles behind the plate and on the bases. He is an excellent student as well.
