Creed Mangrum is a 2008 SS/3B/P with a 5'10'', 145 lb. frame from Sandy, Utah, who attends Brighton High School. Mangrum has a lean frame that is projectable. Defensively he has solid arm strength (75 mph) across the infield. He shows solid actions, and he has a nice back hand. He moves well getting in proper fielding position. He also has a nice transfer. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who battles each at bat. He is an aggressive hitter who has bat speed through the zone. Mangrum is a line drive hitter who stays balanced. He has the ability to center the ball consistently. Once on the bases, he runs well showing instincts. He is a hustle type player. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an inline delivery. He has solid arm speed with a low effort delivery. He gets sinking action on his fastball that topped out at 77 mph. He also mixes in a curveball at 68 mph with 11/5 break. He is an excellent student as well.
