Nick Whitty is a 2008 C with a 5'8'', 180 lb. frame from Bettendorf, IA who attends Bettendorf. Whitty has a compact body with a strong stocky build. He moves well behind the plate and is a good receiver. He has good catch and throw skills that he couldn't show this spring rehabbing from a labrum injury. At the plate, Whitty starts with a square stance and generates bat speed. He swings on line drive path and has quick hands.

Nick Whitty is a 2008 C with a 5'10'', 175 lb. frame from Bettendorf, IA who attends Bettendorf HS. Nick has a medium frame with some present strength. He also has usable speed for his position. He has solid catching skills and compact quick actions behind the plate. He has good arm strength and a quick release. At the plate he hits from a wide base and is a front foot hitter with good bat speed and some lift in his swing. He handles the bat well and has a good all around tool set to develop. Good follow.
