Andy Cordier is a 2008 RHP with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame from Sturgeon Bay WI, who attends Fox Valley Lutheran. He's the brother of Royals #2 pick from 2004, Erik Cordier. Cordier has a long and slender build with a young upper half and stronger lower half. He throws from a slow, deliberate delivery with some back side collapse at the top. His arm action is short and quick and he hides the ball well. Cordier's fastball was very consistent at 83-84 mph and was pretty straight. His best pitch was his 73 mph slider, which flashed a deep, hard break when he got out front with it. He mixed in a couple of 76 mph change ups that had sinking action. Cordier doesn't get much help from his front side in his delivery and could gain more velocity with some adjustments. His body and arm action are very projectable and he has some ceiling to him. Follow closely. Cordier is also a good student.
