Mayhew is yet another very interesting big 03 pitching prospect. We know he can throw harder than he showed, but the life on his heater is awful good. He flashed three good solid pitches and looks like he has a real good idea what it's all about. Seems to be a competitor.

Ben showed some good things this fall particulary on the mound. He throws strikes and works ahead of the hitters. His fastball topped st 79-80 this fall. His arm works easy so we think he will throw harder in the future. He has a good athletic body.
