Brendan DeMond is a 2008 MIF/OF with a 6'0'', 155 lb. frame from Wilton, CT who attends St Luke's HS. He has a slender build with some length and projection. DeMond had smooth actions in the middle infield. He got his feet set underneath him and fielded the ball cleanly with soft hands. His arm strength is a bit below average now but he made good throws and got outs. He'll need to work on his quickness but that could come with additional strength. Offensively, DeMond is a front foot hitter with a line drive swing. He gets his upper body out ahead of his lower body, which costs him bat speed, but he showed some ability with his hands and moved the ball around the field. Again, more strength is going to help him. DeMond played hard and competed well. He is an outstanding student.

Brendan DeMond is a 2008 2B/3B from St Lukes HS, residing in Wilton, Connecticut, with a 5'10"/140 pound frame. DeMond has an average sized frame with a thin lean build. At the plate, DeMond hits from a closed stance and looks to maintain balance through his swing. He doesn't get much rotation in his swing which limits his power to all fields. After contact he has a top hand release with a high finish. DeMond uses the whole field and his strength is his ability to hit the ball to the opposite field. Defensively, DeMond has soft hands on the infield and has deveoping defensive actions. He made accurate throws across the infield at 76 mph with limited carry. DeMond is an outstanding student with very high test scores.
