Elbert Garcia is a 2005 outfielder from Bronx N.Y. with a low waisted build and slender features at 5 ft. 10 160 pounds. He hits from a tall stance with a simple approach and shows hand strength. He keeps his hands in tight and has a short compact swing with a downward plane. He makes solid contact with gap to gap line drives. He has a quick arm with good arm strength at 86 mph from the outfield. His throws are on-line with very good accuracy and carry. He has good arm action with a quick release. He has good all-around tools and he will be a very solid player at the next level.

Elbert Garcia -- Garcia is a live bodied, switch hitting junior outfielder from the Bronx. Garcia has a very quick first step and quick actions and is faster in game situations. He runs very well! He generates surprising bat speed for his size, especially from the left side. Garcia’s arm strength from the outfield was big league average right now. Garcia also threw 2 innings for us but didn’t show the same type of arm strength from the mound as he did from the outfield, topping out at 79 mph. Very interesting player with tools.
