Jon Dobbel is a 2009 C/OF with a 5'9'', 163 lb. frame from Panama City, FL who attends Mosley HS. He has a medium build with some present lower half strength. Dobbel threw 67 mph in drills with a best pop time of 2.40. His catching fundamentals were sound and he stayed compact but he will need to speed everything up to play at the next level. Dobbel hits from a crouched stance with a late hand hitch that affect his swing and timing. He has a level line drive swing and his best contact was to right field. His hit kept him from catching up to inside pitches. Dobbel is a 7.61 runner.
