Zachary Elbirt is a 2008 OF/2B with a 5'8'', 150 lb. frame from Toronto, Ontario, who attends Birchmont Park Collegiate Institute. Elbirt has a small frame with athleticism in his body. From the outfield he showed solid arm strength and projects to throw with more velocity as he adds strength and mature. He moves well with fluid movements. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from a very open stance that he closes off at contact. Elbirt is not afraid to swing the bat and he takes a hack at the plat. He shows bat speed through the hitting zone and makes line drive contact to all fields. He maintained his aggressive approach in game action getting his hands in a proper position to hit. Elbirt also has a good eye and shows patience. Good student as well.
